My daughter and her family got stuck in the snow storm coming back from a Christian conference. It arrived hours earlier than they anticipated.

They were without power for five days. She said on one hand it was hard but on the other she pretended she was Tasha Tudor. :)

This is one of the areas hard hit by the tornadoes last spring. They are beginning to wonder...

Oh my goodness, I am on a sugar high after feasting on all of the eye candy in this post today. You go such fun places and take such good pictures... I just couldn't resist taking them all in.

I am sorry about all of the snow... and on Halloween to boot!!! What is Mother Nature thinking of any way???

Linda the snow was truly beautiful but like you I wouldn't welcome it this early in the year! I can't believe how much your little one has grown - and that gorgeous curly hair is amazing. Both my girls had/have curly hair so I'm partial to it. :) As always I love your pictures. My eyes are not as good as they used to be so I'm sorry the pictures don't enlarge so I could see the wonderful details but I can tell I'm very jealous that I don't live close enough to shop there! I took a picture of a bush growing on my neighbor's fence last week that I'm going to e-mail you - I'm wondering if you might recognize it. You always pack so much in your posts I'm at a loss to know where to begin with my comments! At the obvious I suppose - the snow... YIKES! That's just WRONG!!! So sorry about your trees; but glad you didn't lose power. We had a freak ice storm a few years back right before Christmas and it left us without power for days. It was horrible with the cold. So glad you found time to catch up with some friendships - what an amazing shop and GORGEOUS home!!! So love your thermostat cover - I got one many years back, but like yours much better (mine is slanted on top so I can't display anything on top of it and it's hard to hold the door up and open to change the settings....Hope your snow has melted by now - Smiles & November Hugs ~ Robin

Who would ever thought...didn't know it was this bad Linda. Wow!!! Happy to know that all is well for you and your family. That's alot of snow.

How fun...a trip to visit and shop with friends. Sounds and looks like a wonderful time was had during this visit. Beautiful home and shop. Love the vanity and tavern. GORGEOUS!!!

Oh my word! I can't believe all of the snow you were "blessed" with! So glad you didn't lose your power, but those poor trees! I'm keeping Lucy for a couple of days (and nights), getting things finished up for the shop and planning on moving everything there the next 3 days for our open house. I'm with you on the snow, but growing up in the mountains of West Virginia we were known to get a surprise snow or two. But October..... CRAZY!!!!!! Anyways looks like you had another memorable trip. Oh my gosh Linda, I can't believe how hard hit so many were with this early storm!! I hope it melts fast, and you get a lot more Fall before that white stuff comes again! I was telling my husband I can't remember a hotter October! It has been so hot! I am ready for some cozy sweaters and socks!!!
