As the end of my favorite month of October approaches, and the start of a new month is right around the corner, I am reminded of that word that comes up so often this time of year…THANKFUL! Just like everyone else, I have both good and bad in my life but I believe every day of the year we need to think about and focus on what we are thankful for. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I have decided that every Sunday evening through the end November I will be making a post about just that- drawing from the events of the week prior. Most will be light hearted but sometimes, I may get a bit serious as well.

After another amazing photo shoot yesterday, I am reminded once again how thankful I am to work such wonderful gals – we tease each other and joke around a lot, but we also know that we have each others back!

I am thankful that we meet the most delightful homeowners like Loretta Spiak last weekend in New York. Many of you already guessed it was our blogging friend from the sneak peeks I showed already. For those that haven’t met her yet, stop by and say hello ~here~ and tell her how much you enjoyed a few more sneak peeks of her gorgeous home.

Here is a the sweet pillow tuck that she sent me home with…

And here are some sneak peeks at the shoot that we did on Cape Cod yesterday at the wonderful prim home of Lana and David Testa.

Lana has been in the prim world for a long time and I had met her MANY years ago when she did juried craft shows in my area. She is back into making prims again under the name Winterberry Primitives. She is so talented! I am thankful that she made us each our own little witch to take home…
Can you see witch magazine they are all reading? They have great taste, don’t they? They must get it from Lana’s hubby David…
Speaking of good taste, I am thankful for the tasty treats Lana served us before we headed home.
I am thankful for clear skies, pretty foliage and light traffic as we made our way to and from the shoot!

This past week. Mr Red Door and I took Lili for two of her immunizations. I am thankful for modern medicine that can do so much to keep this sweet little girl healthy!!!
I am thankful that unlike our ancestors, we don’t have to kill our own goose to enjoy a hearty meal. I am thankful that my friend Carol told me about Ginger Cazan and this reproduction redware platter. I had to order one for myself ! Click ~here~ to see more of Ginger’s pieces.
I am thankful that Mr. Red Door has provided so well that I COULD order this.

I am thankful for the power of prayer. A blogging friend needs to be lifted up in prayer and I am thankful I am free to do just that.
And last but not least for today, I am thankful for all of you. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your stories and comments with me. I’d love to have you join in and post your thankful thoughts each Sunday – or pick a day that works for you. Let’s flood the blogging world with thankful thoughts!!
Until next Sunday - prim hugs, Grammee Linda

Having you gals at our home..is something we wont ever forget!
Hi! I enjoyed seeing your fall pics on your slideshow....I have always loved that acorn pillow you have! I agree with you about giving thanks....we don't do enough of that. Even in these days with economic struggles, we still are so blessed.
Linda,
Just stopping by to say "hi". It's been awhile since I have taken the time to blog hop and visit some of my friends.
You sure do have a lot to be thankful for. :) We all do but many times don't stop and think about those things and dwell on the negative. It's always good to think about the positive!
Lili is getting so big! I bet you're enjoying every moment with her!
Leslie
Oh Linda what a beautiful post. It wasn't just the pictures, but the words that are so thought provoking. Thank you
bettyj
what a great idea Linda to post an online weekly gratitude journal of sorts...I used to keep a written one when the boys were little, I had them keep their own as well and we used to all right in our's together...it's always a good thing to remember all that we do have!
your new redware plate reminds me...I have been meaning to ask you about your willow tree plate...I have always admired that and am wondering if you could share who the artist is so that I might be able to search one up...I have found a few different plates that have willow trees on them but they are all too large for my taste and yours appears to be just the right size!
Janet
And thank you for being you, Linda. You make my world a much brighter place.
Wondeful post!! I am truly Thankful to have you as my friend.
Hi Linda,
This is one of the sweetest blog entries ever.
Besides my superb husband, 2 divine little Miniature Schnauzers, a wonderful happy and stable home, the best country friends, the Good Lord up above, I am thankful for you and your blog. Please always continue on with such kindred spirit!
Heartfelt thanks,
Joanne
Sooo happy to hear of Lana Testa once again. My husband and I toured her former home that I think was somewhere near Franklin MA. She had a retail shop attached and I still have the wonderful Christmas stockings I bought. I always wondered what happened to her! Can't wait for the spread on her home in Primitive Place.
Linda,
what a lovely post and such a great idea. I hope to be joining you on Sundays. I love your redware plate. thanks for sharing ~
hugs,
Pam
Yes,we are very blessed. Thank you for reminding us to take time to reflect on life's blessings. I just received the holiday issue of A Primitive Place. What a great publication! Thanks go to you and the rest of the staff for the wonderful job you do in capturing the beauty of these homes.
Lili is so cute. I also am thankful for the opportunity to enjoy time with my granddaughter on a regular basis.
Thanks for stopping by my blog Linda. Sorry I don't have a picture trail of our home but, one of these days, I'm hoping to put one up. My hubby has crafted so many wonderful things, I really should showcase them. I'm especially fond of the items he's made out of the old, pine floorboards we had to rip up. Those are my favorite pieces and we have quite a few. So...thanks for the prompt.
Regards, Joanne
Linda, So nicely said! Then some wonderful eye candy tossed among everything. have a great night! OLM
Great post, Linda! We all need reminded sometimes that we really do have things to be thankful for. We celebrated my Mom's upcoming birthday today. She will be 86 on Thursday, so I'm very grateful that she is still with us and in great health.
Lili is as cute as ever. I can't believe how much she has grown. I'm thankful for meeting you and many other wonderful people through your blog.

Thanks for my blog comment. I also want to thank you for posting pictures of my home that you took at the photo shoot on your blog. You have an amazing job and I guess I am envious. (lol) Stay energized and keep up the good work. Your blog is wonderful!!!
Well, isn't that just the sweetest blog post ever! Love all the pics-Have to say the one with the pumpkins and mum's around the bathtub (or sink) made me flip~Loved that! Such a cute idea to bring the mum's and pumpkins INSIDE!
Lili is just as cute as can be. Noelle's new thing is praying. She prays (with folded hands) before she eats and then we pray for everyone she knows before she goes to bed (even the bugs) :)
So cute.
Have a great weekend,
Love,
Me
